Sleepy...very sleepy...

...great show last night...Drew was right when he said "Cleveland Rocks!" and then followed it with "Ohio!!" at the end of his show...ah, that Carey boy...

We're driving now...yet another day off...we have to make it to New Orleans...I'm super stoked...we're playing the House of Blues tomorrow...its gonna be a good time...I've been hearing a lot of great stories about that place...but that's all tomorrow...as for today...we woke up early yo get crackin on this 18 hour drive south...driving has become my life...I don't mind it...infact I love driving...its like a new adventure everytime you get behind the wheel...sort of like a choose your own adventure...but ull never quite slay the dragon...unless of course youre deep into your herione addiction, as you maybe, in which case you only goal IS TO catch that mother fuckin dragon...GET YOU THAT FUCKIN DRAGON BOY!!!!! Get you that dragon!

I gotta go shopping for some essentials...ya know...the "needs" not the "wants"...I'm so forgetful so I make lists, constantly...I'm sure everyone feels the same..all day long you think of what cd you wanna by and then the second you step into that Best Buy or FYE your mind turns to a big bowl of stupid and you can't seem to remember that it was the Miley Cirus cd you wanted to cop, so you settle for Pantera...we actually got some new cds...all on the softer side...I bought the "Flight of the Conchords" record....six songs of 'great'...the show is incredible and the cd just caps it...I suggest you watch the show first before scoring the cd...I also purchased the "OnceK soundtrack...such a great cd filled with beautiful songs...you probably wouldn't expect me to LOVE this cd but go onto freenapster.com and listen to "falling slowly" by glen hansard...I wanna see the movie now...chris got the "into the wild" soundtrack...every song was written and performed by Eddie Vedder...the movie is incredible and the soundtrack moves you as the movie will...check that shit out...I haven't read the book but I'm sure it only gets better...

Wow, blogs are getting rare...you should read em while you can...they could be worth something someday...you never know. I'm currently in Detroit...we just played two shows at the "Filmore", but, don't tell anyone who was raise in Detroit you saw a show at the "Filmore" bc they beat you up...because it will ALWAYS be the "State Theater" to them...always and forever...Todd has scolded me before for saying the "Filmore"...either way, Filmore or State Theater the shows went amazingly and the security crew was awesome and on-point...After we played our set, we rushed our gear onto the truck and ran out to the front lobby area and hung out with a long ass line of people that enjoyed our set and wanted to buy our cd...we chilled there and signed and took pictures and gave high fives pretty much all through Billy Talents 45 min set and through the half hour change over before MCR...took a 30 mins break from hangin out at the signing table and we came back just before mcr last song before encore...that's when some people start to stroll out to beat the traffic...and we were bombarded with awesomeness when a new longer line formed...Detroitians are extremely orderly and polite...and I love them...
This girl saw us the first night in Detroit and was wearing an "I [heart] Frankie Iero" shirt...and I jokingly complimented her on her nice homemde shirt...there was definately effort put into...the best part is...yesterday, she waited on the signing table line again, bought ANOTHER cd got it signed and gave me MY OWN "I [heart] frankie iero" shirt...how sweet is that!!!! Haha good times...

I love the chicago pride...they got "their" chicago style pizza which tries to hold its own against the world reknown "New York" style...I actually am a huge NY pizza buff...I don't need deep dish or stuffed crust...gimme some pizza I can fold and shove down the gullet, and I'm stoked on it...but back to chicago pride...they got these things called "hotdogs"...or Coneys...which are actually "Coney Island Dogs" which is a mutha fukkin New York thing..but its huge in chicago...they love their hotdogs...but you best not put ketchup on that shit...they're straight
bring you out back and 'casino' ur ass, 'deniro style'...no joke...This radio DJ Dan told us...Dan and Mike run the 'Daytime Debauchery' on Fearless Radio...we were on their show this morning before our show...we chatted for a lil, they played some tracks from our cd "a Delicate Situation" and Todd and I played 'Boring' and 'One Thing' acoustically...it was our first radio appearance ever and the guys made it fun...they're funy ass dudes...you can check out their podcasts and live streaming show at www.fearlessradio.com...awesome dudes...awesome show...

I also watch a new movie that hasn't even hit the streets yet....its by the guy who made "Pan's Labrynth"..."The Orphanage"...that shit was fucked up as all hell...such a great movie...so much unexpected shit goes down...I think it may have fucked me up for life...physically and mentally...my body wanted to shut down while watching...I think something inside me died and was revived at the last minute...if you get the chance...when it comes out on DVD, of course, get that shit...its in Spanish...with subtitles...but you don't even realize it...its soo many goods...

We're driving to Detroit Rock City now from our sick ass shows in Chi-town...I'm really tired from hustlin the streets, slangin cds and hangin with all the new friends of drive by, chicago edition...so imma take a nappy poo while Jesse drives toward the "D"...code name for detroit...home of the tigers and former stomping ground of Todd 'Neat Sounds!' Price...I just made up that nickname...I hope it sticks...Jae and I are still making up new handshakes...if anyones got some unique moves to throw around as possible ideas for the new shake let me
know...

Whirly ball looks like it is gonna be the most fun ill ever have in my life...its bumper cars...with little lacross looking nets and a basketball backboard with out the hoop and a hole instead...here are some pics of it...I can't wait...why don't they have these where I'm from...its also a bar so people are getting super drunk and playing...it reminds me of a bowling alley but way cool...

For as long as I could remember I'd always bit my nails...I don't even know if its considered a gross habit...but I'm on day 2 of my conscious effort to NOT bite my nails...I started bc I bit a nail way too short on my left hand...(my rock n roll shred hand)...and it hurt when I play...so I said I wouldn't do it anymore...I even painted my left thumb black to remind me not to...

Its morning, yet again, and we're leaving kansas...we are chicago-bound...we gotta be there by 8:30pm to meet up with the tour for some rounds of whirlyball...we're gonna split up into teams of 5...and ride in these bumpercars with no steering wheels and lacrosse sticks? Maybe? I've only heard parts of the games...but you gotta get a ball through a goal while getting bumped around by G-way and Ray Toro...its gonna be fun as hell...so we're speedin to chi-town...that's gonna be our day off...whirlyball for Matt Cortez's bday in chicago...

I just realized I have weird OCD habits...I'm sitting shotgun and I
mustve clicked the lock button 30 times since we left...just to make
sure all the doors are still locked...I do it with my guitar too.. I
check my knobs to make sure my volume is all the way up and my
killswitch is flipped to rock! I like to make sure everything is in the
right place...as if it were possible for them too move on their own or
slip outta place...I guess its not that bad...but I noticed

Whiplash...

Tonights show was another good one...we have been blessed to play for the best of crowds...and to have friends like MCR and Billy Talent...everyone has been so good to us on this tour...from bands to crew to fans to venue staff...I'm having the time of my life and I couldn't have pictured it any differently if I wanted to...this is my life and I love it...

Now we're leaving Denver, Colorado...we have a show tomorrow in Kansas City, Kansas...I don't know if you knew this but there are two Kansas Cities...and one of them is in Missouri...we've played there before and now we play the one in Kansas...the city is kinda split between the two states...kinda strange if you ask me...but I believe I heard a rumor that my cousin is coming out to the show...which is always fun when family comes to a show...I haven't seen her and a really long time...so I'm stoked...

So yesterday we were driving to find fun toys like paper airplanes and such to mess around with at the hotel and I was reading a text message with my head down when we hit a huge dip in the road and my neck was snapped down and whipped back up...it instantly hurt and I knew that
when I woke up this morning I'd be a hurtin fool...and I was...but tonight at the show I was let in on a secret called "tiger balm" it worked wonders...no more whiplash for me...
